This is based on the Research article entitled "Red and White Cell Morphology Characterization and Hands-on Time Analysis by the Digital Cell Imaging analyzer DI-60", by Kweon et al. (2022).
When using the Sysmex DI-60 to analyze the morphology of red and white cells, false positive results could result from sample preparation problems, interference from substances in the sample, or incorrect cell identification by software algorithms. Inadequate sample volumes, abnormal cell populations, or operator mistakes in calibration or parameter settings can all result in false negatives.
