At what level a micro or macro nutrient (quantitatively)( with reference to nitrates, phosphates, potassium etc.) is important or beneficial for the proper growth and development of crop and above which it becomes toxic for the growth of plants or crops

These are arbitrary values which vary from species to species and also with soil type,season and rainfall pattern.However one thing is for sure that soils having high organic matter are always enriched with all desired nutritional content in ample quantity.Hence before going to start have look on this aspect.Soils rich in organic matter seldom need an external application for short terms as they have ample Quant ity of primary and secondary nutrients which is sufficient enough for 2-4 years.
