I want to use to code videos of focal sampling I conducted on wild monkeys. I have lot of videos and I would prefer a software which has additional analysis capabilities like time-budget analysis and also it would be beneficial if I can export files in different formats.

Maybe you can try LongoMatch. It is originally meant for creating sports videos.
As above, I have used an older version of BORIS and found it to be pretty good for my purposes (activity counting) I never explored some of it's other features but it seemed pretty good for something provided free. It will do time-budget analysis and export the files in a range of common formats such as .xls, .ods, .csv and others

Solomon coder (https://solomoncoder.com) is a really handy and flexible program for video coding with extended features for exporting data and even some preliminary analyses.
I've used both Boris and Solomon. They both work well. I know also there is CowLog but I've never used: http://cowlog.org . I found Solomon useful when I needed to use markers during the video to separate different sessions.

The developer is also great, responds very quickly to emails with any issues!

I tend to use ELAN (https://tla.mpi.nl/tools/tla-tools/elan/). Although it was designed by linguists for analyzing linguistic interactions, it has some very nice features for scoring behavior generally as well as for double-checking coding.

Which software did you go for in the end?
I'm looking for software to code my novel object experiments. I will want frequencies of certain behaviours (e.g. entering a 1m perimeter of an object) as well as durations (e.g. how long spent visually inspecting an object)... And for multiple individuals...

Pooja Dongre Hi, I finally went with BORIS. It is free, easy to configure and yes multiple subjects is possible. FInally, it can do some analyses for you like time-budgets.
