The bacterial NRPs (nonribosomal polypeptides) are famous as clinical drugs such as antibiotics, but is there other native function of these NRPs of bacteria except antimicrobial, because their biosynthesis required the large complex multimodule enzymes NRPS with the consumption of energy? Thanks!
