I am using ITO coated glass as substrate .I want the cubic phase of CdS rather than hexagonal phase by using electrodeposition. Can anyone give some suggestions?
0.16 M CdSO4 solution was added to 7.5 M NH4OH solution under constant stirring.0.6 M thiourea solution was slowly added to the mixture with rigorous stirring (65°C; pH 10 ). Precipitated yellow product was centrifuged and dried in the oven at 65°C for 4 h.
[1] Lattice constant of 5.81 Å.
[2]Although the peak (111) of the cubic structure is similar to the (002) peak of the hexagonal structure, the other peaks of the hexagonal CdS do not appear.
[3] Single crystal nanorods (sharper at tip and wider at bottom) ; 2 to 3 micrometer length; dia. 90 nm (at bottom) and 40 nm at tip) a dark spot, (CdS nanoparticles).
[4] Peak at 496 nm; blue-shifted from 517 nm.
[5]The PL spectra: an excitation at 390 nm; intense PL peak at 449 nm with two small peaks at 468 and 503 nm.
