Gender issues are common in agriculture all over the world, mostly in developing nations.Women do most of the agricultural work and they are still paid less as compared to male for the same level of work. Particularly for maize,in my view knowledge level of both male and female in production may be the issue.
In many agricultural production systems females tend to lag behind males in terms of 'information and knowledge' . This can similarly be observed in maize productivity differences between genders.
In third world countries, the role of women is more prominent, but in developed countries, this role is gradually decreasing
