You might want to look at works bringing together the importance of access to land and Indigenous knowledge, Health Sovereignty and Food Sovereignty. The pandemic has shown that health issues need to be dealt with complex frameworks that take into account the interconnectedness of the human and the ecological sphere, of human existence alongside those of animals and plants, such as the One Health or Ecohealth frameworks. One Health and other ecosystem approaches to health are centred around linking up “environmental and social determinants of health with those of ecology and systems thinking in an action-research framework applied mostly within a context of social and economic development” (see Charron, D. Ed. 2012. Ecohealth Research in Practice. Springer).

As to the possibility to quantify the extent to which greater autonomy, food sovereignty, health sovereignty, access to land and intangible heritage may increase overall health and decrease health services use that is a tricky one but worth exploring, looking forward to seeing if anyone has any experience with that?

We worked on orthodox and Non-Orthodox Medicine in our local community which is a conference paper but awaiting for publication in near time. I don't know if it can help because most of the findings talks led excessively on traditional medicine
