The discussion about the discrimination of those who live in a lower caste by a religion from birth is old. Within religion - example Hinduism - this problem may be viewed differently, but societies are evolving and where religious acceptance of belonging to a lower caste has been dominant, things may well change over time. This would need to be discussed by those who are directly affected by the problem.
One of the major barriers to the transformation of caste system is the institution factors that created it. Cultural issues bothering on beliefs, values and other related practices must patiently but deliberately addressed because of the lagging nature
I have already pointed out, “Caste has been accepted in the [Ambedkar’s] Constitution and mixed with class,” i.e, religion decides caste and caste perpetuates reservation. Highest caste, higher caste and such other categories, whether poor or not, oppressed/suppressed or not does not get reservation.
So, if, “religious acceptance of belonging to a lower caste has been dominant, things may well change over time,” then, it is not based on faith, but, some other irreligious factors posing as reformative and so on.
