Mobile learning modern uses traditional principles.Simplified scheme: Mobile learning uses forms of teaching and learning, but instead of a teacher's lecture replaces the textbook and the e-test. There was a new technique. There are new characteristics of thinking in students. It requires the development of new teaching methods. We are developing such methods within the framework of a new educational concept . For example. Educational pages should not blindly copy paper media. Presentation of information should use possibilities of digital technology. The following options are possible: an interactive quest with non-linear development; use of 3D-models adapted to modern multimedia platforms (personal computer, digital multimedia device, game console etc.; volumetric and planar animation of both basic and specific educational sections. However, the teacher's role should remain significant.
I have done some background research for a new course I am developing that highlighted trends and issues in mobile learning that I hope would of interest to you to include one of the areas of need in faculty development for m-learning:
Data Flexible Learning Environments-Theories-Trends-Issues
Empirical findings among researchers lately discuss a lot about areas such as user needs, usability, interaction design and effective engagement among the areas needs to look into. This is from part of my background research done for my current research project.
Thank you for your valuable answer, i believe that the proper implementation of Mobile Learning in the context of teaching will increase the significance of teachers teaching.
However, i have notice that most of the researches investigating few repeated factors like (deployment of M-learning, factor affecting M-Learning, etc).
I was wondering if there are some new gaps related to (Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Learning)?
My colleague and I are researches another aspect. It is based on the growing trend in recent years. Reducing the number of students capable of any teaching methods. They do bad perceive the printed text, but are well-versed in digital technic, applications, games. For them, m-learning and e-learning is the best method of learning. And technology must be different. Including interactive quest with a non-linear development; the use of 3D models etc. For students with high potential, this will provide an additional opportunity for development.
The disadvantage use of virtual reality in training is a high requirement for preparedness , health, psychotype of the recipient. It is impossible to apply to a mass audience.
Fundamental changes to e-learning are challenged by the 20th century school system model funded and focused on fixed structures and divisions of labor. The last century model grouped students by age in a classroom with a teacher funded and administered by government mandate. That is contrary to learning systems that existed throughout world history. E-learning, especially mobile learning, parallels ancient social structure of learning at home, with neighbors, or during employment--at any place, any time.
The 20th century school system, by definition, does not focus learning on an individual like e-learning has the potential to do. See https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/school%20system. E-learning and mobile-learning educate, progress, repeat, and advance a student by subject not age with no physical school structure required.
The school system, and those employed by it will resist change to e-learning while trying to remain relevant by offering e-learning modules. Throughout the world, teachers, administrators, their support organizations, government funding, and regulations are structured to support 20th century school systems, not 21st century e-learning and mobile-learning (any time, any place). As I write in my recent book Learning as it influences the 21st century (2018 copyright), "In the history of the world, technology advancement has been in a constant battle against labor unwilling to change to more efficient systems" (pg. 124). See https://www.relatingtoancients.com/new-page-1/.
I complement you on seeking gaps in mobile-learning, but they cannot be addressed without a complete review of the structural systems in place to support outdated school system models.
