Hello, what are the list of journal index services that a researcher should avoid while choosing the journal before submission. Thank you!
It is rather easy to prepare a white-list of A&I services than preparing a black-list. Because, there are plenty of bogus or low quality A&I services and influence/impact measures at present. It doesn't matter whether they (bogus or low quality services) include our target journal in their databases/measures or not (let it be with them), but we must not decide our target journal based on their inclusion. Once I noticed a list of leading A&I databases in Wekipedia, yet one can find more than that. Also, the importance of such service is depend on your subject domain. For example, MEDLINE or PubMed could be more useful for medicine authors than the authors in Social sciences.
Rather approach this from the other direction, and ask what are the journals that I should target? Obviously your IBSS journals, are good, and anyone with an impact factor, bit is sometimes difficult to get your paper published in the more illustrious journal. I've and attached an index list from our university that includes 6 different indexes, and all journals listed in these lists should be fine to publish in. However, it depends on whether you need to publish in A rated journals, or just want to get your work published in a reputable journal!

Watch out if the journal is scopus indexed or not. Almost all of the journal indexed in scopus are peer reviewed.

Dear Fazla Rabbi Mashrur , thank you for the scimagojr which is actually one of the best tool for journal verification. I'm looking for similar tool which can be used if they are not included in scimagojr, I think the websites mentioned by Rodney Duffett , Mohammed O. Al-Amr , and Bruno Chrcanovic were also helpful a alternative methods to check if the journal is ok.
My suggestion for which is not given Open access should be avoided due to Information for all and also get more citations,h index etc.
