Students' writing thesis and dissertations need to be helped with principles/criteria that makes a thesis of sound quality. Share your views, links and resources. Thanks
Are the results worthwhile; free from sloppiness and vague; creativity; a convincing/coherent approach; objectivity; quality of writing; any argument/any contribution; accurate/comprehensive understanding of literature, etc.

A certain interest in the topic is essential, so they will try to do it justice. The worst cases try to make up for the lack of originality and genuine idea by juggling a lot of meaningless numbers in the course of statistical showcases.
A master's thesis or a good doctoral dissertation should include a new idea in the field of specialization and be written in a clear, clear, expressive and concise language as far as possible, balance between its parts, and address the problem or problems suffered by the society. The results of the research provide a simple and economical solution to the problem that it addresses.
Great views from you my dear friends Professors Amir, Han, Houda, Ali and Dr. Pankaj. They are really enlightening! Many thanks to you for sharing them and fueling the discussion with very intelligent suissions. Thank you richly
depends on the subject of the thesis as well as on the scientific content and results of the message and how to discuss, and if there is a new addition, all are poured in the degree of thesis...
1. Introduction: The main purpose of the introduction is to receive the reader an overview of the study itself and the factors affecting the development, and in this section should the author to briefly, from two paragraphs to three paragraphs, focusing on summarizing the nature of the message in the following points:
(A) presenting the purpose and studying the hypothesis; including the author's motivation to choose the subject;
(B) The importance of the subject for the framework of the study;
(C) the stages of preparation and methods used in the study;
(D) the information that his or her peers have already addressed in the same field of research or the information on which the study is based;
(E) Provide the scope of the study, together with a general description of what the reader can expect in the remainder of the document;
(G) Finally, the introduction should end with a brief discussion of what the author expects from the value of the research project;
2. The theoretical framework of the study: It reviews the basic information needed to introduce the reader to research, information and theories. There are three general types of review of the theoretical framework: a broad scan of the subject, a focused review of a critical point of the subject, Or comprehensive criticism.
The course describes the procedures used in sufficient detail to allow others to repeat the study and verify its validity. In this section,
4. Results of the study: In this chapter, the part of the results is presented and discussed in the framework of the thesis. These two elements should be separated with the appropriate headings and sub-headings because the results section performs a different function than the discussion.
In this chapter, the reader is reminded of the initial problem or the hypothesis and linked to the results of the study, with any conclusions or any new insights arising from this work. In this chapter,
Plan your experiments well, meaning the objectives need to be clealry defined along with the independent and dependnet variables. Go with an open mind giving due considerations to what has already been proven or established. Collect data in an unbiased manner with honesty and integrity. See if you can explain the experimental observations with a suitable model but don't try to force the model on the data.
If the data collected is not explained by any known model, you can do one of two things: expand your theoretical horizon to see if you have missed something or add additional variables and collect some more data. Do not discard negative findings. Finally document all of these clearly into a report and publish it if you can before even defending the thesis. I had the good fortune of publishing a dozen or more papers before I even defended my dissertation. Best wishes.
There are many things that you are needed to know while composing good thesis paper. You have to be well versed in each of it.
1.The first thing that you are to do is to have a detailed knowledge about the choice of your subject. You have to be good in study so that you can usurp as much information as you can.
2.Try to go for a lot of detailed investigation on your work. The more you do it the better information you will collect.
3.You need to come up with a good title. The better would be the title the better would be the work.
4.You need to have a good thought process running so that whatever you create should be unique and should woe to the readers.
5.You need to concentrate more on the facts that you are providing and how can you put them in a perfect place in a meticulous way.
6.You need to make an outline of the entire project so that you can follow certain schedule to complete your work.
7.You need to come up with a good thesis statement. It should contain all the important future prospects and good ideas about your work.
8.You need to go for a good introduction. Make it as interesting as possible.
9.The editing and citation style should be maintained following proper rules.
10.Try to take help whenever you need so that you can come up with a nice work.
Nice thread. In addition to the components of thesis such as title, abstract, keywords etc. However nicely there are innovative answers here. In applied field we are thinking about problems in the community , industrial community as an example. The idea of work is the basic component, and plagiarism is another component.
I have not taken any thesis supervision since 2003. Most of topics are very superficial and lacks depth argument. The other reason is that most of researchers are in hurry and lacks critical thinking. I believe that good research means that it is ADDED VALUE and adequately written and presented
I think, "problem statement" is the heart of thesis. "Objectives" must be coherent with Problem Statement...In methodology, we must have the "uniqueness".
The research has practical application, benefit and value to the stakeholders such as the relevant profession, cohort and society. Is of genuine interest to the researcher, is conducted in an ethical and moral way, does no harm to participants and others. The research should also enable the researcher to develop practical research skills and application to other areas of life.
