Is this not encouragement of violence and bloodshed which nurtures vindictive and violent traits in viewers of movies? Is it true that movies full of bloodshed and violence record high sales?
There are classic movies that employ violence, in different ways and with success. It is part of human life unfortunately. But emphasis upon violence as an expression of voyeurism or to demonstrate that problems can be solved in that way is clearly harmful.
I would prefer a moritorium on violence everywhere, but unfortunately its ubiquitous expression makes doing so difficult.
The culture of blood, crime and delinquent behavior will disappear no matter how much they show in the cinema after a period of watching, and will not leave any memory to viewers.
