I'm quite new to the study of thermodynamics
If I have an actual Gas-Turbine power plant with a two-Stage Compressor, intercooler, combustion chamber, and turbine
What are the obvious evidence of irreversibilities in a model like this? I have attached a diagram of the model. I need some understanding of how to identify all irreversibilities in a system like this and other related systems. Thank you

There are some formulas fo each component that can be used to estimate irreversible work. e.g. the ambient temperature crosses the entropy generation.

It is very easy to check the irreversibility in the process. From the inlets and outlets of each component, you might calculate that the entropy of the outlet must be higher than the one at the inlet. Another fact is there ar heat loss on each component that you could not recover it 100%.

For this kind of problems, you need to perform (1) energy analysis and (2) exergy analysis.
I suggest that you consult a thermodynamics textbook to go over both analyses and then apply that knowledge to your case.
