I teach an Intro. to Botany class where I would like to demonstrate the effect of exogenous ABA on stomata by having them add a couple of drops to an epidermal peel under a microscope. What concentration of ABA should I use and in what solvent? Can you provide a protocol?

Why not set up an experiment with different concentrations decreasing by an order of magnitude each time and see where the optimum range for the biological effect is?
You can apply previously taught skills in calculation of concentration and dilution as well: e.g. prepare 1 g per 100ml, dissolve. (Solution 1 = 100 g/L)
then
take 1 ml of solution 1, dilute in 1 L water (solution 2 = 100 mg/L)
take 10 ml Sol2, dilute in 100 mL water (solution 3 = 10 mg/L)
take 1 ml Sol2, dilute in 100 ml water (solution 4 = 1mg/L)
...or whatever is appropriate for your class. You haven't really explained what level you are teaching for, what equipment you have or the facilities available.
