To digitize herbarium specimens, mainly Imaging & Scanning Equipments like Flatbed Scanner, Digital Camera are required. Also Barcode Printer & Labels would help for assigning unique identifiers to specimens. Computer with High Storage Capacity is needed for managing digital images and records. Also there are Herbarium Database Software (Specify, BRAHMS, BIOTA, or Custom-built Database) for organizing and managing digital records. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Software would help in digitizing handwritten herbarium labels.
You look expert in Herbarium management and digitization. If you kindly share more information or any document .I have nearly 10000 accessions which need to be digitised
There are several automated equipment, including temperature control, adequate physical structure without heavy materials, air extractor, pressurized cabins, ecological tables, thermometers, incubators, etc. Successes.
(DELNATTE, 2015) The international standard format for herbarium sheets is 45 x 28 cm. However, in older collections, each collector adopted his own format. (Boletín de la A.H.I.M., 17: 19-22(2015), ISSN 1136-5048-e ISSN 2174-4610).
