All of us use certain methods to teach our college students. Some may use black board, some may use power point and some may use slide shows. For college level students what could be the best effective way of teaching?
It is difficult to point out a specific way of teaching in any learning environment. Instructional strategies would depend clearly on the intended learning outcomes. Further, an effective teacher would use a combination of techniques to facilitate student learning.

I agree with Babu Noushad, and I think that it's not possible to talk about general or common teaching methods for different teaching/learning environments. Except LOs (as the most important part of the curricula), teaching methods usage depends on many other factors described in each syllabus.

I agree with the views expressed by learned scholars, Teaching techniques and methods may vary from urban to rural regions. Power point presentation helps a lot in case of difficult diagrams and flow charts of the topic. But Black board teaching can motivate the students and may enhance the retention capacity of the subject/topic.I strongly believe that Black Board teaching is effective tool in the teaching to college level students with the aid of modern facilities.
Teach with a variety of strategies. Study the literature and learn about approaches such as learner-centered teaching, guided inquiry, active learning, lecture, group work, and online discussion. Use what works best given your content and your students' learning needs.
That's a very nice question because I'm sure that there are a lot of unsatisfied students in the classes who suffer from a crucial problem that is lack of a good methodology to learn.
As other friends said, it's hard to find a general and suitable teaching methodology that works well with various courses. But in my opinion, using graphical slides might be good for oral courses that might be somehow boring...
for analytical courses, students should be involved in the class. If the students are asked to answer different questions and suitable homeworks are given to them, they will learn that course more effectively, and one other important point, students like to have a precise pamphlet that cover all of the contents effectively. So trying to give our students a good pamphlet or powerful and useful resources might be another solution
The method to use at the college level, i suggest differentiated instructions. Thus the instructor has to study their students to know how they learn. Many students have logical mathematical intelligence and can analyze problems, detecting patterns, perform mathematical calculations, whiles others learn by physical/body movement/learn by displaying pictures and graphics. So knowing this kind of students in college level, i think the instructor should employ more strategies in order not to be bias i supposed.
The various teaching methods adopted in colleges are to make the students subject attractive and ease. I think blackboard teaching is more effective in the sense that students have time to write, follow and understand. The other is power point presentation, this is used to demonstrate practically by seeing in visuals how a particular system works and functions.
I believe that effective ways of teaching students in colleges are interactive and digital methods away from the old traditional methods that have become of the past.
The effective methods to teach students in colleges are: black board teaching, where the students will have time to hear, read, understand, write and ask doubts, teaching by means of power point presentation as visualization, demonstration of parts and their function and giving a way for students to interact, communicate and discuss the topics.
I feel effective teaching can be had by using blackboard. Interacting with students closely, give ideas and solutions to problems will create interest in subject and thus becomes effective way of communication.
