UV spectroscopy is an important tool in analytical chemistry .When UV radiations are absorbed, this results to the excitation of the electrons from the ground state towards a higher energy state. Please let me know which parameters can change by increasing UV absorbance / band gap?
Simply, by increasing the concentration of the sample to be analyzed.

Increase in concentration of the solution will certainly increase the absorbance according to Beer - Lambert Law.
The Beer-Lambert law (or Beer's law) is the linear relationship between absorbance and concentration of an absorbing species. The general Beer-Lambert law is usually written as:
A = a* b * c
where A is the measured absorbance, a is a wavelength-dependent absorptivity coefficient, b is the path length, and c is the analyte concentration.

Dear all thank you for your response. However, I want to know increase of UV can be related to which parameters e.g, particle size, morphology and antibacterial. It would be possible that decrease of particle size increases the UV absorbance.
the main objective of UV study is to find the transitions that takes place within a material (eg: pi-pi*, sigma-sigma* etc). And by plotting a tauc's plot you can identify the bandgap of the material. UV is not precise to predict the morphology however a comparison between the materials would give you a better idea of what changes have been observed in a particular material.

pH and temperature can affect on the absorbance. As well as, UV is not the right tool to predict the morphology.
Omar Sheej Ahmad and Ro Mu Jauhar statement is right. UV is mainly to understand the absorption, transmission and reflection behavior of the material. using this cant't tell anything about the morphology and antibacterial response of the material.
