If you are planning an hysterectomy it is absolutely better to perform directly hysterectomy. The enucelation of cervical fibroids may be associated with relevant bleeding. It could be useful to start surgery closing uterine arteries, thus improving haemostatic control.  

I agree.trial of enaculation of the fibroid before the hysterectomy may lead to unecessary bleeding. If the cervical fibroid is lateral and big one  I suggest as you mentioned putting a ureteral stent before starting the procedure.

In my experiance i have operated on most of the Big central cervicai,Anterior and posterior cervical Fibroids.if we plan the Hysterectomy then complete evaluation of the size and extent of the fibroid should be assesed.at the same time pressure effects to the genitourinary system should be noted.every risk should be explain to the Relative.ureteric stenting is a good idea but in my practice i havent done,as i do ureteric dissection if any involvment.recently in one patient of cervical fibroid in a22yrs nulligravida i have treated with uterine Embolisation of the artery with that the fibroid shrinked to40 percent. biggest cervical i have operated of 2kg.

We recently presented a case report at the 2018 SIR where we embolization the cerivovaginal arteries directly with small 100-300 micron particles utilizing vasodilator augmentation (sparing the remainder of the uterus) in a patient with a bleeding cervical fibroid with an ultimate 96 % volume reduction. The patient subsequently became pregnant delivering a healthy baby boy via normal spontaneous vaginal delivery.
