To bind BSA (which is negatively charged) with gold and silver nanoparticles by electrostatic adsorption we need the surface of the nanoparticle( gold and silver) to be positively charged.
Hello Sibasish. For gold NPs you could try chitosan. You mean BSA is negatively charged at pH 7? Because at another pH it could also be positive I think. Doesn't that depents on the pH and the isoelectric point of the protein?
Yes charge of BSA depends on pH. But if I dissolve BSA in distilled water at pH 7 then BSA will have negative charge. So for this I need the charge of nanoparticle to be positive.
Well, chitosan will work only if you have slightly acididc conditions ...... as it will then be deactylated. You can also use PAH or any positively charged polyelectrolyte
