Learning is a change in behavior occurs as a result of an organism having a certain activity is in this case the process of asking about the place of the house and exploring the roads and experimenting but there are many conditions for learning
Instead of conditions of good learning I wanna discuss about levels of learning... how much can we learn or we guess that we learn well... Learning is like receiving light from a source to objects... it depends interaction between source and objects...
Agreed with the comments shared by other researchers / scholars above. One of them finding conducive learning environment is very important e.g. adequate lighting / eye soothing / ambient environment, availability of resources like referencing materials, Internet etc. because these can ease & attract people to learn. Also encouragement from others especially those important / loved ones can motivate people to learn.
Good learning occurs when a student's individual learning style is tapped. Therefore, an effective instructor will use a wide variety of delivery modes (lecture, group activity, video, music, games, and so forth) so that, whatever each student's learning style is, that style is tapped, such that a diverse community of learners simultaneously learn the same material in different ways.
I think the most important condition for learning is within yourselve no matter how bad the external condition is...A condition that encourages personal creativity is the best
That learning is the result of learning the method of learning and that what is learned is meaningful for life and not only for the classroom or to pass the exam.
This is achieved through active learning on the part of the student, where he can link theory with practice in a field of reality; and that the teacher avoid being the professor who vertically stimulates only the memory with information teaching disconnected from the real world.
Good learning environment is necessary encompasses many factors, such as culture, school policies, governance structures, interactions, and organize an educational setting to facilitate learning.
The good climate in the confereontributence or classroom is the first condition of good learning. In my opinion, students must contribute actively in the lesson.
Good learning starts from the knowledge . Knowledge is a power & has no control of any unit it is up to the human beings in which mode he should translate the knowledge in his life ,he may arrange to use for him career ,for the family & for the society .
When we have talked regarding the knowledge thru learning , we all have with our Head, the power of our Mind,Brain , with our Conscious forces & as we know we all are aware that our Mind never gets tired .Only matter our mind requires the change or a silence zone of within or for few minutes .
It is this power of mind which may turn out to be a custodian of knowledge , which comes to our learning & helping us to our mind & brain the footsteps of learning it becomes a light of our knowledge .
Conditions of Learning, by Robert M. Gagné, was originally published in 1965 by Holt, Rinehart and Winston and describes eight kinds of learning and nine events of instruction. This theory of learning involved two steps[1]. The theory stipulates that there are several different types or levels of learning. The significance of these classifications is that each different type requires different types of instruction. Gagné identifies five major categories of learning: verbal information, intellectual skills, cognitive strategies, motor skills and attitudes. Different internal and external conditions are necessary for each type of learning. For example, for cognitive strategies to be learned, there must be a chance to practice developing new solutions to problems; to learn attitudes, the learner must be exposed to a credible role model or persuasive arguments.
Gagné suggests that learning tasks for intellectual skills can be organized in a hierarchy according to complexity: stimulus recognition, response generation, procedure following, use of terminology, discrimination, concept formation, rule application, and problem solving. The primary significance of the hierarchy is to identify prerequisites that should be completed to facilitate learning at each level. Prerequisites are identified by doing a task analysis of a learning/training task. Learning hierarchies provide a basis for the sequencing of instruction.
In addition, the theory outlines nine instructional events and corresponding cognitive processes:
Gaining attention (reception)
Informing learners of the objective (expectancy)
Stimulating recall of prior learning (retrieval)
Presenting the stimulus (selective perception)
Providing learning guidance (semantic encoding)
Eliciting performance (responding)
Providing feedback (reinforcement)
Assessing performance (retrieval)
Enhancing retention and transfer (generalization) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conditions_of_Learning
Learning is a cognitive ability aided by parents, environment, teachers, friends and society at various stages of human life. The conditions of learning therefore, are: parental love, family environment, social upbringing, the teachers role as motivator, facilitator, guide and good teacher - student relationships. The learning process is continuous throughout the period of human development. Relationships, motivation and development of learning attitude are important conditions.
I would say this depends mainly on the student (learener) and his ability/will to learn. If thie element is missing, then regardless of anything else, there will be no learning.
The second element would be the "subject" or the "topic" i.e. educational content and its ease, relevance, interest, .... to the learner ..
With these two elements alone ... we can have learning in its simplest form. Hence we may have self-learning and self-study as in the case of computer/web based learning and training.
The third element that come to mind is the teacher - noting that we have now shifted gear from pure learning to a blend of learning and teaching ... Good teachers do help in effective learning through their knowledge and their teaching style.
What comes after that are - in my view - secondary things of minor importance. the classroom, how it is furnished and equipped, the teaching aids from simple blackbpoards to the latest state-of-art technologies.
Then we come to education management aspects which affect the academia part and the administration part which make a big impact on teaching/leatning interaction.
Establish the fundamental conditions that must exist if people are to learn, drawing on my five decades as a student, teacher, and parent. I’ve come up with seven conditions:- Awareness, Interest, Motivation. Relevance, Engagement, Reinforcement ,Support.
