I plan on preparing a water treatment membrane in which I would like to use GO along with a suitable polymer. My question is what different techniques can be used to prepare a membrane? The ones I know of are:
1) Spin Coating
2) Petri dish casting
3) Electrospinning
P.S.- Can I use any of the above techniques to prepare a standalone GO film? If yes, please provide some details.

you can use 0.45um filter and the experiments details can be found in many papers, for example, 'Facile Fabrication of Freestanding Ultrathin Reduced Graphene Oxide Membranes for Water Purification, DOI: 10.1002/adma.201404054.
I think doctor blade casting is the best way. However, the optimum casting thickness should be determined experimentally.

Electrospinning could be a good choice, as the membranes obtained are controllable. Your can check the paper in my RG about high efficiency water filtration membranes obtained by electrospinning. Hope it helps.
