What markers have you had success with in measuring ER Stress in human subjects?

Here's a methods paper which give an in-depth description of characterising ER stress, with respect to IIM.
ER stress is generally measured by increased expression of ER chaperones BiP, PDI etc. Also the activation of UPR pathways viz IRE1, PERK and ATF6 can be measured.
