I am trying to find out about all possible applications of spin testing (spin pit tests) for high speed rotors (e.g. energy storage flywheels, with speed electric motors, turbines etc.). I am interested in:
a) finding out who offers these services or test rigs (apart from a few German companies such as Schenck-ROTEC).
b) finding out how data is collected / used for burst containment evaluation and development.
c) finding out if there are any projects (apart from turbine blade-off-tests) where burst tests are used as a strategic development tool to improve safety housings.

As I know, you can modeling spin test of rotor using "Ansys" software, "AxStream Rotordynamics" software by SoftInWay company, "Dyrobes" software by Concept NREC company.
a) SoftInWay company and Concept NREC company in addition to design software for turbomachinery has manufacturing,so they can offers these services .
b) as i know, you need design rotor so that when rotational speed raise on 12% Safety Factor by tensile strenght must be more than 1,25 (OST 108.020.109),so you need collect data about tensile strenght of rotors materils (adjusted for temperature).
