I am in search of some suitable organic solvents for the solubilization of sulfonated PPO polymer. These are not well solubilized in NMP, DMF, DMSO and DMAc. Could someone help me regarding this problem?

Thanks Nizar, But that is a different story and during the sulfonation process of PPO.
Already I have some sulfonated PPO and now want them to be solubilized in some organic solvent to fabricate dense membranes.

Quote: "The homogeneously sulfonated poly(phenylene oxide) polymer in salt form is very soluble in common solvents, such as alcohols, ketones, aprotic solvents and mixtures of these solvents with water." Unqoute.
You can get it from the internet. When you proceed into reading the patent , you will find that they used DMF. Beware: Patents do not tell the whole story & they contain, sometimes, exaggerated claims!
