Currently, we only know of testing ink toxicity by identifying the presence and concentration of metals, metal oxides, and polymers through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) and X-ray fluorescence analysis. As much as possible, we want to avoid using tests that involve organisms. Are there any other tests we could use?

Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA): This technique can be used to measure the thermal stability of an ink formulation, which can provide information about the potential toxicity of the ink.
There are several other analytical techniques that can be used to test the toxicity of ink formulations, many of which do not involve the use of organisms. Some of these techniques include:
