Hi,

I'm trying to find reproducible and efficient criteria for quantifying neurite outgrowth and neuron migration from human-derived neurospheres.  My lab has suggested references in the attached files, and we've discussed the methods, but I'm trying to work through the details of applying the methods. 

For example, one of the methods is to count the number of neurons migrated from the control and experimental neurospheres, but this method doesn't adjust for neurospheres that contain many neurons that don't migrate or don't migrate far. 

Neurite outgrowth seems more straightfoward.  I was going to take the area of the core neurosphere and divide it by the area covered by the neurite projections.

Any feedback will be appreciated and suggestions for automating the quantification will be fantastic.
