Please tell me different correlations between nusselt number and reynolds number for laminar flow. Various papers have correlations for turbulent flow. I want it for laminar flow. Kindly help me.
As you can see from the previous responses, Nusselt number is NOT correlated with Reynolds number for the simple case of fully developed laminar flow in a pipe. This is because the viscous boundary layer thickness remains constant (equal to the radius of the pipe) for all laminar Reynolds numbers. In turbulent flow, the boundary layer gets thinner as Reynolds number increases in the same pipe, thus, the Nusselt number depends on Reynolds number.
