Traditional qPCR can give results in about an hour to detect/quantify DNA or RNA from various sources (bacteria, viruses, human, etc). I'm interested to know how you would use a machine that could accomplish the task in less than 10 minutes and why it would be important to have results so quickly in your work. I think this would make diagnostic testing way faster, a single PCR machine could be used to run way more diagnostic tests/day. This would be super useful in the COVID19 pandemic for making testing happen faster, getting results to people who may have the disease faster. Those people who know they have it could avoid all social contact, preventing spreading that would start from them. This would significantly reduce the spread of this disease and others that are diagnosed using qPCR.

Detection of SARS-CoV-2 the agent of COVID-19 pandemic, is one obvious application. Positive-negative alone is great, but knowing the viral load in nasal swab or blood etc can also be very helpful.
Likewise for influenza A virus and other pathogens.
Not only COVID but all pathogen quantification as well, including current qPCR based quantification tests for HBV, HCV, HIV, TB, HPV and ...
Novel Corona virus (COVID 19) has gripped the world badly. It would be super useful for faster tasting and faster result.
We are in need of faster instruments for COVID-19 and other pathogenic diseases too. We may try to use antibody based analysis (more cost) or biomarker identification. Try to save lives by quick scientific analysis is more important !!
