Then beside shear strength (Mohr Coulomb?) you'll definitely need hydraulic conductivity, bulk modulus, and densities of each lithological unit.

Do you have more information about soil type etc.?

Clearly you need to consider the energy that will be imparted to the structure by the landslide.

You should consider all internal and external factors acting on the slope and mitigation structure. In slope stability analysis besides slope geology,  strength parameters, dispalcements, acting forces you should consider influence of changes of pore pressure on shear stregth reduction (its relations to the rainfall intensity) and all other possible triggering factors.

While this is not really the question that you posed ... in terms of rainfall this should come into your thinking for the hazard assessment - magnitude, frequency, etc which then informs the design of your mitigation measures. Other than the influence of pwp on foundation design rainfall is not so relevant to the actual design of the structures.

The practical and most simple way is to add one more analysis (within set of your analyses) to simulate extreme hydrological conditions. This can be done in several ways:

1. The simplest one is to raze pore-pressure coefficient ru or phreatic surface level, compared to assumptions made in your static or seismic analyses.

2. More advanced approach would be to use FEA (coupled hydro-mechanical approach with unsaturated material behavior) to simulate change in pwp after heavy rains. In this case you need quite a few parameters which are generally not available in practice.

Consider also lowering the ground water table and changing the geometry of the slope. Also, a toe weight is always contributing to the stability of a slope.

It is difficult to ascertain what you mean by mitigation structures.  Are you thinking of things like piles, stone columns, retaining walls, or protective structures at the base of potential landslide, such as barrier walls, catchment areas, etc?

landslide depends different factor addition to shear strength viz. permeability of soil, grain size of particles, infiltration, slope, rain, drainage pattern of the area, seismic coefficient of the particular area, man made activities around the area etc.  

I expect that the attached conference paper will give you usefull information. The conference was held in Tlemcen, Algeria (UNSAT Tlemcen 2009).
