Can we conceive an operating system (OS) for the brain?  Brain Co-processors can be thought of as cognitive assistive devices for augmentation of brain functions or as assistive systems in patients suffering from neurodegenerative disorders and Alzheimer disease. Prof. Marvin Minsky's concept about this grandeur goal to bridge the brain with a microchip/microprocessor has been taking up by several AI laboratories and particularly, the MIT.
