Weird Masson Trichrome Stain in kidney tissue: real damage or stain artifact?

Hi! I'm looking to assess the extent of kidney damage/fibrosis with MTS and some of my tissue has a very weird coloring. I'm not sure if this expected from injured tissue or is a stain artifact. I'm pretty new to the kidney histology world so any advice/comments are most welcome! Thanks!!
