I have prepared a sample with CuPc thin film and try to form its nanowires using AAO porous template by the template filling method under its melting point. So I need to wash now the AAO template, I have done it with 5wt% NaOH solution.
So I need to know, in order to get SEM image, I want to wash out NaOH or not.

I am going to assume NaOH was utilized to etch away the AAO porous template.
After etching, in the solution is dissolved a myriad of substance which when dried will solidify and ruin your sample/image.
I have not worked with CuPc but if it is not soluble in water I would try rinsing in DI water a couple of times after the etching step to remove impurities before taking an SEM image.
