In plasmonic solar cells, absorption enhancement is mainly related to its active layer thickness. A thin active layer with metal nanoparticles (NPs) provides an efficient absorption enhancement.

The absorption enhancement is highly related to the scattering cross-section of the NP.

It is able study the scattering cross section of NP, which incorporated in the active layer of polymer solar cells, with numerical method such as finite difference-time-domain (FDTD) simulations.

I need to know whether this scattering cross-section has any dependence on the thickness of the active layer.
