I am reaching out to discuss a problem with the 50x objective lens of the Olympus confocal microscope connected to the UniRAM spectrometer for Raman spectroscopy. This lens has encountered exposure to unwanted Hg(NO3)2 vapor, leading to the development of a halo layer. As a result, the images generated are blurry, and the Raman signal is diminished.
Could anyone provide advice on eliminating this halo layer?
