Hi good day, does anyone have better way to precisely tune the shape and size from cubic to spherical magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4) via thermal decomposition method?
I'm using squalene as the solvent for the synthesis (boiling point ~ 310-320C)
whilst for the capping ligand used is oleic acid without oleylamine.
Your input is highly appreciated.

use ring permanent magnet around the substrate or the vessel you've work inside. Let B=800G
Vikram S.: Thanks for the suggestive literature. Well, both literature are of my early inspiration for this synthesis and the different is I'm using different iron precursor as to overcome the additional cumbersome preparation process of iron oleate.
