I am establishing a new method for lime requirements (LR) of acid soils and quite confusing with the validation of the new method, in terms of Repeatability and Intermediate Precision. In many textbooks and papers, it is shown that the acceptance level for the RSD (Relative Standard Deviation) or RSD pooled is 2%. Is that appropriate for my experiment ? Thanks a lot

In practice, lab lime requirement methods only approximately predict field requirements. So the utility is more about ease and speed of analysis than accuracy. To answer your direct question, paired t-tests are better comparisons than regression, unless you also look at residuals.
