Is anyone used hydrogels instead of agar or gellangum as matrix for micropropgation/plant tissue culture experiments

I use an algiate-calcium hydrogel for microencapsulation if it can help you
@Yassine Mahdi: I know about microencapsulation and synthetic seeds
First of all there is a question: are intertested in natural or synthetic polymers but as well approved for agricaulture application. In case of the second one you can try acrylic hydrogels. It depends what for exactly you need that compund.

We are using Plant Gel at the place of agar, it is a cost-effective and transparent gel and a very good alternative to the agar.
