Hi

i am doing a static structural analysis in ansys version 18.1. i modeled hertz contact between two bodies, the results were accurate. 

but when i slide the hemispherical body, i am not getting any results, because an unknown error occured during solution. i attached the solver output file in text document.

plus i want to know sliding a body over another body can be done by same method in 2D and 3D, or different methods are used???
