Unable to Link "Mechanical Solution Cell" to "mechanical Model Cell" ANSYS
Can you please explain more about your problem?
By the way, check the "Future analysis" in the "Analysis Settings">"Analysis Data Management".
Also if you connect the cells before solving the problem, ANSYS will automatically enable this option.
Hi Thanks for for answer. I will expaln the problem in detail.
I am trying to model a composite material (Shape memory alloy and Aluminum) in ANSYS. This is a two step process i.e firstly a thermal cooling takes place where the temperature drops from 450 oC to 25 oC and then in the second step a small portion of this material is removed from the whole geometry. So because of the different thermal expansion coefficient of Aluminum and shape memory alloy, residual stresses are induced during the thermal cooling process. In the next step, when some of the material is cut from the whole Geomtry these residual stresses would be released to some extent. If you would look at the attched image i have sent you with this Email, I need to output the INISTATE Stress file from the first step, "Thermal Cooling" and input this file in the second step, "Material Removal". Now the problem is, I am unable to connect the "Solution Cell" from the first stage to the "Model Cell" in the second stage. I have also read the ANSYS documentation and this should be possible.
