Tongue squamous cell carcinoma cells can be graded as slow (slow-growing and unlikely to spread), moderate and high (very aggressive and likely to spread).

SSC-15 could be a slow growing squamous cell carcinoma cell line.

Unfortunately, it isn't my area of research, but great question. Am following it.

To check what is the expected PDT of SCC-15 I looked at the current state of the entry in the Cellosaurus:

But as there was not yet any information on the PDT in that entry, I made some digging up that came up with a precise value in:

and a less precise one in:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6201865/

So here is the summary as it will be indicated in the next release of the Cellosaurus:

Doubling time: 1.5-1.7 days (PubMed=7214336); 1.93 + 0.19 days (PubMed=27664486).

So it seems that you should not expect slow growth of SCC-15.
