For Ultra High Resolution Agarose Gels (Invitrogen), do you need to electrophorese the gel for longer than you normally would? I have not done it before. Would the results be similar or comparable to Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (Abcam; BD Biosciences)? If so, which is the cheaper option?
I personally have used Metaphor agarose, which is a high resolution matrix. I have found that high voltage 4-5V/cm and as much as 1 hour for a 20 cm gel in cold 1% TBE buffer works best and can resolve band which are 7 bps apart. This agarose is slightly expensive (25g/$169). Hope this helps.

We are mixing 80% of MetaPhor® Agarose (Cambrex Bio Science Rockland, Inc., Rockland, ME) and 20% of UltraPure™ Agarose (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA). Can be used for separation of fragments differing 6-10 bp.
More precise resolution (up to 1 bp) can be achieved by using ORIGINS Elchrom Scientific electrophoresis (Elchrom Scientific AG, Cham, Switzerland) with Spreadex EL300 gel and Spreadex EL400 gel (Elchrom Scientific AG, Cham, Switzerland) for product with size of less than 150 bp or more than 150 bp, respectively. The best gel and proper running time can be selected using ElQuantTM Software (Elchrom Scientific AG, Cham, Switzerland). It is relatively expensive, but less messy than working with Polyacrylamide gels.
