Trypsinizing M2 polarized U937 cells?

I am finding it hard to trypsinize the M2-polarized U937 cells for functional assays, even when using 5 ng/ml PMA for differentiation. Any suggestions on how to lift the cells for seeding? Will gentle scraping work, or are there other methods I should consider?
