I'm currently working on the differentiation of iPSCs into LSECs. For the basal medium, I need to add human transferrin (see https://www.fishersci.co.uk/shop/products/recombinant-human-transferrin-protein-3/p-7148704) to a mixture that includes IMDM, StemPro 34SFM, Glutamax, ITS-X, ascorbic acid, and thioglycerol.

Unfortunately, we are running low on human transferrin, and while the company will be delivering more soon, it won't be enough to maintain our cultures. One of our collaborators has offered us "holo-transferrin," but I'm unsure if this is suitable or if I need "apo-transferrin" instead, as the version I typically use does not specify which type is required.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation before?
