I would like to isolate transferrin isoforms (for CDG diagnosis) using IPG strips.
Do you have any protocol for IEF by strips and 2D? I also want to know the treatment protocol for preparing serum.

please make your life easy and concentrate first on a good purification method for CDG.
If you have established this method I would recommend to search for a CE device which will enable to get your results much easier.
Don't get me wrong. I am not an opposer of 2D, and if you want to go this way please feel free to do. In this case you can pubmed search for my publications on 2D (or even can download some on my RG page). But again, Serum samples are not the easiest samples to run on a 2D gel (because of the high abundance of a few proteins only) and second, 2D is also not the best technique to look for a few isoforms of one protein only.
