I am looking for an antibody that can specifically detect ferroptosis in kidney tissue. Does anyone have experience with transferrin receptor or Anti-MDA antibodies in kidney tissue?
Ferroptotic death can be demonstrated by anti-TFRC antibody. It would be good to further characterize the process in your tissues by also measuring aberrant protein expression that results from ferroptosis (ACSL4, TFRC, PTGS2, or CHAC1).
This paper gives a good summary and a starting place for different markers. Of course, antibody selection and availability will ultimately depend on the species your kidney tissue is from and the application you choose (WB, IHC, Immunofluorescence, etc.)
