We usually use Strain Energy as objective with volume constraint in topology tasks. But if I want to obtain a lightweight structure that the stress in it does not exceed material strength, I should optimize the structure with volume as objective function and a stress constraint.

During the iterations, the value of stress can exceed what I set for the constraint (say, I set stress constraint to be smaller than 785 MPa, but the output of the topology task has stress = 1.96e+5 MPa)

Anyone tried to use a stress constraint? How to deal with the errors? I just want to have an reasonable optimized shape. Thank a lot!
