Today RG - ResearchGate is appeared on your User-Screen in New colored view with some minor modifications in outlook. According to some frequent users the old look was excellent in color, structure and aesthetics having more professional look. However, some frequent users may like the new look.
Please show your opinion as "OLD was GOLD" or "NEW shows better VIEW".

Every change with improvement is better. New colored view of RG is better. It reduces monotony.
In new, the green arrow UP-VOTE button, doesn't highlight upon up-voting.
It is not only about the color of new ResearchGate outlook, but also about better functionality and visibility is better, as well as a search function, which is much improved!
Dear @Krishnan, the green arrow (UP-VOTE button) highlights upon up-voting. I have just upvoted your ans @Subhash's answers.
In the earlier site, the border of the button (the box) will be slightly popped up upon highlight. The popped up view demarcated where the highlight was done or not. Even if the string of answers go more on pages, we can identify which of those we have and haven't up-voted and take suitable action.
I mean the thickness of the border of green or red button should increase upon being pressed.
I liked old look ("OLD was GOLD"). The old colour difference between interface elements was better since it was sharp. The top of the page was more pronounced in black. The top line has become larger and takes too much place on small laptop screens but there is no need for such big icons and buttons.

I agree with all Prof. Umachandran of what had mentioned.
I enjoyed the former RG style because it seemed to be so "strait-laced" and academic (it had some Gothic style features).
Old fashion RG design was really exquisite.
We are used to the old and know its strengths and weaknesses, the new initially is surprising but then allows us to discover its benefits.
I really like change but I think what brings about more comfort or relaxation to the eyes, is in the best interests of all in Research Gate. The buttons & anything colored blue will better be green or one of the many greenish shades that are available. Mind you, green color is not my favorite but it is the health of eyes' favorite !
Change that does not hart and that does not destabilize a structure and brings stimuli in variant forms and vibe is always a good thing. Green is a good color of replenish and life and the new lighter green or lighter blue also is a breath of fresh air and scent of life from the oceans shore or the clear vast space of sky to ponder. Professionally they are descent and academic quality - indicating a site of research, academics and ideas.

I do use RG Home page much more than before. "Key stats are now also featured on your home screen, letting you see at a glance the impact of your research this week, and how you compare with your peers..."
