As three phase PLL generates orthogonal signals inherently by using Clarcks transformation, I try to design a single phase PLL using same design except geneartion of orthogonal signal by using the transportation delay at the input side.If it is also correct representation then why extended PLL , Quadrature PLL and so on.if not correct why?

Symmetrical signals have only odd harmonics and that is way they required to use an additional circuit like frequency doubler, before can generate required other harmonics.
