In our research consortium we analyse and validate the use of micropipette-guided drug administration (MDA), an alternative to oral gavage using diluted condense milk for oral administration, for different drugs and research questions.
We are interested in your experience with the use of MDA. Have you tried it? For which purpose? Did you have issues with the palatability of your drug or substance that you wanted to administer? How did you solve these?

I use oral gavage, and I need to familiarize myself with the MDA technique. I work with experimental nutrition, and I just want to say that depending on the study design and frequency of drug administration using condensed milk, you may bias your experiment since it is rich in sugar and calories.

at least the condensed milk has no impact on glucose and fructosamines levels in this study. Would be interesting if someone here has experience with alternatives to condensed milk?- Badges
