Recently, the use of metal oxides for thin film PV devices has become a focus of fundamental research. Copper oxide and titanium dioxide are promising materials for PV devices. Currently, the efficiency of solar cells based on these materials ranges from 0.0005% to 1.62% [ Rohmat 2017]. The theoretical limit of the efficiency of TiO2/CuO solar cells, however, is ~20% [ Sawicka-Chudy, 2019]. .
Thin film solar cells have many advantages in comparison with traditional silicon PV devices.
TiO2/CuO thin-film heterojunctions are fabricated by direct current reactive magnetron sputtering using the Modular Platform PREVAC at University of Rzeszow, Poland.
Our research are focused on the optimization and development of semiconductor devices (see my profile).
